While working on my Worked All States (WAS), there were many states where I had to make multiple contacts prior to receiving a confirmation of the contact. This resulted in the thought that it would be nice to let the contact know when the records were uploaded, as well as what sites they were uploaded to, which is why I created this software. Many of its users go to great lengths to create pleasant looking cards that can be collected and displayed, perhaps on an electronic picture frame, while at the same confirming the upload/contact.
When two operators communicate, there is an assumption that QSL communications will take place, and most operators put the mail address and e-mail address on QRZ to facilitate that correspondence. Given this standard practice, there is really no unsolicited mail being sent.
If you would prefer to not receive any electronic e-mail confirming the upload of data, please follow the four (4) easy steps in the column to the right, and we will honor your wishes. Please be advised that it may take a short time until our users have updated to this release update.
If you are concerned that there might be confusion with the eQSL.cc site which has it's own opt-out checkbox on the same page, you can put something like NOQSOCC. Either NOQSOCC or NOEQSL will work.
